The rental accommodation in our lovely old stone long-house is entered through a traditional Breton arched doorway which opens into a spacious double height hall that features the original exposed oak beams we restored throughout the property.
On the left of the hall there is an open plan galley kitchen with a deep low window seat - a good place to keep an eye on the cooking, whilst enjoy a glass.
Opposite the kitchen there is a spacious dual aspect living room which has a dining table with 6 chairs,
2 large sofas and armchairs plus a wood burner.
French doors open onto the terrace.
At the rear of the house there is a pretty ground floor double bedroom which also has French doors.
There is a ground floor shower room is adjacent to the bedroom. This layout provides a good option if you wish to avoid stairs, and means we can offer couples part of the house as a one bedroom apartment.
For larger parties, upstairs there is a small galleried landing with two further bedroom suites opposite
each other (no adjoining walls).
There is a large L shaped bedroom with twin single beds and a en-suite shower room; and another double bedroom which also has an en-suite shower room.
Outside the big patio area has a built-in BBQ, outdoor dining furniture for 6 and 2 recliners. The uninterrupted rural views from here are magnificent all year round.
Raised stone planters and fruit bushes edge the terrace; beyond which you can access our open paddock dotted with oak and apple trees.
La Vieille Longère gîte is a character two storey, three bedroom holiday rental for up to six guests - it is particularly popular with adult families or friends sharing a break.
Alternatively we offer couples La Petit Longère
our discounted one bedroom ground floor only option
(the top floor is unoccupied during these rentals).
“I stayed a week in "La Vieille Longere" for a week and it was WONDERFUL!! The lovely
home, all of the ammenities, the fresh air and lovely country side is something which
I can recommend to anyone who wants to 'get out' and enjoy nature. I haven't slept
this well in years!”
