When you feel re-energised, take a walk or cycle around country lanes spotting Plessala’s stone crosses, follow the marked forest trails and look out for deer or search for mushrooms. In the valley stroll beside the River Lié cross the ancient stepping stones at la Roche aux Cerf and admire the restoration of the original water mill; then dangle a rod in and catch a trout.
Enjoy having time to appreciate nature in these delightful surroundings. Butterflies and wild flowers are everywhere; hare, deer, even wild boar have been seen.
If you go down river just a few kilometres, you can hire kayaks and cycles at the nearby sports base; or on other side of the forest there is a riding stable which organises pony treks.
